Trade liberalization and regional trade agreements. Theoretical view

 Abstract
This paper emphasizes on the forms of trade agreements, in the context of liberalization process with regional or multilateral character. Regional trade liberalization or economic integration implies the elimination on discriminatory basis of trade barriers, such as tariffs and non-tariff barriers, among the participating countries. These movements are often associated with the application of certain coordinating and cooperative elements. Precisely, in this context, a special importance takes the recognition of forms and degrees of integration, as well as identifying costs and benefits of preferential trading.
